One morning I woke up and noticed my lymph nodes are really swollen and my tonsils are white…and later my breath started smelling REPULSIVE no matter how much I brush my teeth. I also have a horrible taste in my mouth. Ive been told that it may be tonsillitis and that I might have to get my tonsils removed? Is this true? Also is there any way to get rid of the breath because Im going to skip school otherwise because its so embarrassing. Please dont give me a whole page of extra information just tell me the answers to my questions. Oh and how do you get it? Is it contagious?

p.s. Im 15…

When was this one morning?

You could have strep throat. Have your parent(s) take you to your doctor ASAP (like to-morrow). Test can be done to rule this out. The last thing you need is an abscess back there.
