in causes of bad breath

My dog started having bad breath for about 1 and a half week, and I don’t know what is the cause?
Would I have to brush my dog’s teeth?
Is there some way I can make her bad breath go away?

it cannot be the food as it is a recent occurrence according to you. ideally dogs should be brushed once a week.u get their very own toothpaste and brush.if you are feeding your dog dry food there is less chance of tooth decay.also make sure fresh water is available at all times.change the water as many times as you can.if all this fails take him/her to a vet.may be he has some infection

alot of animals have bad breath you can brush there teeth your self unless it is vicious you might want to take it to like petco or something but it is normal keep in mind animals like themselves to keep clean and some eat there own poop…..so just give him a little brush every now and then and it should be fine

If your dog is under 8 months old he probably has teething breath.
If he is an older dog he may have bad teeth or else you are feeding a poor quality food. Maybe you need to change to a premium quality food.

Give your dog RAW meaty bones to chew. They will clean his teeth.
Raw bones do a better job of teeth cleaning that trying to brush properly.

It could be the food you’re feeding it, but my dogs breath stinks so it could be natural.

But if your concerned, maybe take it to the vet?

Usually it is due to tartar build up. If you have been feeding your pup wet food? (canned) or…sorry to say, if he’s been eating his poop. :(

It can be all the things mentioned above but also failing kidneys. Older dogs may suffer from kidney failure and a bad breath is one of the indications. You might want to check its blood at the vet. Sometimes it helps switching to foods for senior dogs if they’re 7-8 years or older….

is she itching herself a lot and producing a bad smell from her skin? she may have a kidney problem (its a long shot but incase), her kidneys might not be working which causes toxins to be secreted from her skin and mouth giving the bad smell. that happened to my dog
