in home remedies for bad breath

I’ve have a very bad cold for about a week now. Soar throat and extreme nasal congestion. I was using a nasal spray and t was working great until about yesterday. Suddenly it got MUCH worse. That’s when I read on the back of the spray that if you use it for longer than 3 days, nasal congestion may worsen. Oops, my bad. Anyway, I really need to breath. What should I do!?

When I got that I got some vicks mentholatum rub and put a bit under my nostrils when I went to bed.
if I had chest congestion i would run some on my chest too, yea it its smells but it has always helped. most of the decongestent pills that work have stimulants in them which arent good to take at night.

* Put Vicks Vapo Rub on your chest, and a tiny dab under your nose, if its not to too uncomfortable. Vicks makes a non-greasy cream, if you don’t like the slimy stuff.
* Use a vaporizer or humidifier in the room you’re in.
* Drink HOT liquids like soup, tea, or nuked milk, and also drink lots of water.
* Use cough drops, lozenges or hard candies for your throat.
* Take ibuprofen or Tylenol for the sore throat pain.
* Take Dayquil or Sudafed for further congestion treatment (it helps in addition to the Vicks).
Also Mucinex works great for congestion.
* Read all medicine boxes to be sure you’re not taking too much of any one thing (for instance, Nyquil already has Tylenol in it, and cough drops already have menthol in them, etc…)
