Make sure you are staying hydrated especially before you go to bed in addition to brushing and flossing. Hydration will help cut down on the growth of bacteria in your mouth while you are asleep. Pay careful attention to your gums as well and try rinsing with Oral B mouth and gum cleanser. If all else fails, you may want to visit a dentist and ask for a referral to the periodontist.

In addition to brushing, flossing is equally important to control bad breath in your mouth. I also noticed that when I don’t eat, I have a different kind of bad breath that emanates from my empty stomach. A small amount of food usually remedies that. A friend of mine doesn’t eat breakfast or lunch except for coffee and she gives off a foul spoiled coffee smell all day.

Gargle a cup of lukewarm water mixed with salt or half a lemon juice. This is best done before going to bed. Chew parsley leaves, which are sure to keep your breath fresh. Put a few drops of tea tree oil on your toothbrush top it with toothpaste, and then brush your teeth and don’t swallow. More useful remedies at http://sites.google.com/site/dentalinfosite/bad-breath

While there are plenty of short-term products such as gums and fresheners on the market, most do not last more than a couple of hours and tend to only mask the bad breath rather than address underlying causes.

For this reason, many people are now turning to natural herbal and homeopathic ingredients such as Kali. Phos, Silica and Sweet Fennel to successfully help them with halitosis. Kali. Phos is well known for its antiseptic and cleansing properties and is effective at addressing putrefactive conditions such as halitosis, foul smelling flatulence and stools.

Silica works by cleansing the cells of toxins and ridding the body of bad odors, while addressing some of the underlying causes of bad breath such as gum disease, sinus infections and mouth abscess. Lastly, sweet fennel has a long history of use for treating digestion problems and is a popular aid to sweeten the breath.

You may have post nasal drip that adds to the bacteria already in your mouth. While you are sleeping your mouth is dry and the bacteria thrive which is why you wake up with bad morning breath. Commercial toothpaste and mouthwash actually make your breath worse too. Read this free e-book which explains in detail the causes of bad breath and how to get rid of it for good. You won’t wake up with morning breath at all.

I don’t think there’s a genetically gifted person who would wake up with angel breath. That only happens in the movies! Morning breath is caused by the buildup of biofilm on the tongue, throat, teeth and gums. This biofilm will become invaded by bacteria that can pretty much break down proteins and emit smelly compounds in the form of sulphur.

Have you ever tried the honey mixture to fight morning breath? You can mix one part honey with two parts sugar and then set the mixture aside. The next thing that you have to do is mix equal parts of baking soda and water, make sure that the mixture is cloudy and pasty. Dip your toothbrush into the baking soda mixture and then brush your teeth. Baking soda acts as a deodorizer and teeth whitener as well. After you’re done brushing, you have to apply the honey mixture onto your teeth. This will effectively eliminate any sour taste in your mouth. Your breath will taste and smell so sweet if you do this regularly.
