I have a pain on the left hand side of my stomach and a yellow tongue and bad breath, what could be causing this, my first thought was that it may be a stomach ulcer but i am not sure, please help!! thanks!

70% of bacterian that causes bad breath is found on the tongue. Cleaning your tongue after brushing refreshes ur mouth like nothing else. If i dont clean my tongue in the morning after brushing my teeth it feels really awkward.
It does make me gag sumtimes but i love that feeling…..yes iam weird…

How can u get you,re normal tongue clr back?

my tongue always sticked to the roof of my mouth, which i think is the cause of my bad breath since my tongue is always covered, so what do i do? my tongue never comes down! i tried relaxing my mouth, but i guess i’m a naturally tense person because it goes right back up!

i try all of that, but since my tongue clings to the roof of my mouth, i get bad breath all over again!

i dont have dental insurance so i can’t afford that. this sucks.

how long does it take for the white film to come off the tongue after having a tonsillectomy?

I had my tonsillectomy about 8 days ago. My doctor informed me that the white film over my tongue that causes bad breath/odor is common. He didn’t tell me however how long it would take for that to go away. So I’m wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and has a rough idea of how long it took for them. Thanks!

besides bad breath of course. because I think, if i dont remember wrong, my mom told me that she doesnt wash her tongue, and she is ALWAYS coughing like crazy, and she goes to the doc and takes medicine and whatever but nothing happens, she always have that horrible cough. and I was thinking that maybe not washing her tongue it makes her have itchy throat or something.

White Hairy Tongue / Bad breath?

So i’ve been having this white tongue for bout a year. I believe it gives me bad breath.

My tongue is white and hairy. I think papillae is what its called, overgrew and it traps wateva food i eat between them and cause bad breath. It looks like thin white fur.
I use a tongue scrapper everyday(doesnt hurt when i scrap it) and brush my tongue at least 2 times a day.
Also tried brushing it with sea salt and rinsing with hydrogen peroxide.
It always looks pinker when i brush with toothpaste.
I drink at least 3L of water a day.

I dont think its thrush because i havent been hurt in any other way except it giving bad breath.
i’ve seen my local doctor and he said it was nothing, i still didnt believe him
The dentist suggested i need more vitamin C so im drinking more orange juice and eating more fruits.

Plz can sum1 help me, bad breath has really damaged my social life

How to cure the White Tongue?

I’ve always ignored my white tongue and now think it isn’t a smart idea to do so, but it’s not overly white, it’s just more prominent at the very back. It does cause me to have bad breath from time to time, which I absolutely hate. I use mouth wash, I floss and I brush my teeth and tongue.

I heard about the salt method, where you would pour salt into your mouth, and brush and repeat, then gargle with salt water etc.
It sounds a little odd to me and I heard it stings quite a lot, so is it a safe practice?

Hi im 17 y/o’s male, ive tried nearly everything, i use Kforce, which is a brand that gets rid of bad breath and the tooth paste is also used to apply on the tongue which then i use a tongue scraper to get rid of the white stuff.

But that doesnt seem to be workin… the white stuff is still there even after i scrapped it off theres still traces of white stuff and when it comes to night, i check it and it looks like its growing a little bit by bit
so i continue to scrap it.

Is there any mouthwash or anything that gets rid of the white stuff thats better then listerine cause i heard listerine helps but it kills off the good bacteria too.

i Floss everyday morning and night, and i use the Kforce stuff.

Hairy tongue?

Okay, so I usually have a bad taste in my mouth and a brown tongue. A tactless friend with a keen nose swears I don’t usually have bad breath, but it’s still gross. Anyway, I heard of a cure for bad breath that involves gargling with a solution of one part salty water to one part hydrogen peroxide. It works wonders! So imagine my dismay to learn that even diluted hydrogen peroxide can irritate your mouth and cause a condition called hairy tongue. Everything I could find just said that repeated use does this, but they didn’t say how often you need to do it to cause a problem. Is there any safe amount I can do this, like every other day or once a week? If not, do you have any other ideas? Regular brushing and tongue scraping don’t work, nor does mouthwash.
