I get tonsil stones quite often. (white hard, rubbery balls of bacteria that form in my tonsils) Over the past few weeks/months, they’ve continued to get worse (larger and more frequent.) I left one on my dresser to show my dad (because he refuses to get me surgery) But when I went back later, it was crystallized and brown. I searched whether or not it needs surgery and apparently there is no known cause for them, and there is no cure. Which means in order to cure it, I just have to get my tonsils out. My Tonsils have large pores and do nothing but hold bacteria, which i later cough up. about eight can fit in one pore at a time and they are pretty big. It’s uncomfortable. Could this be detrimental and do you think a tonsillectomy is necessary?

One more thing, these things smell awful. And the back of my tongue tastes the way they smell. My breath is always bad. Since it smells like the tonsil stones, if i get my tonsils removed (and don’t get the stones anymore), will my breath not smell like dog crap anymore?

My friend had a tonsillectomy done for that reason. She no longer has bad breath or any other problems. I just had one done yesterday because I kept getting strep throat. I’m recovering well. If bad breath is a concern of yours, then talk to an Ear Nose Throat specialist about having a tonsillectomy done.

its been 8 days of labored breathing, poor sleep and non stop wheezing! after 3 days i went too a family doctor, her name was pam shaible of cincinnati, she did nothing for me and i left. i knew after this doctor blew me off that i would be getting worse quick! i went too a primary care doctor that im not connecting with as she listened too my breathing and blew me off! extreme wheezing and shortness of breath and i thought no inhaler? no antibiotics? i was set up for failure as 4 days later or so i had too go too the ER for breathing treatments… well this time i picked up some antibiotics called doxycycline, some inhaler called Q-var, and some stuff called pro-air? initially they prescribed -pack zythromax which is useless for me for some reason… i asked for amoxicillin as i respond really well too it and they wrote the doxycycline etc…

heres my question, the diagnosis said acute ashtma bronchitis? never heard of both at same time usually its one or the other? how long does it take for this too pass? im slamming fluids in and the antibiotics on the way. this condition is continually re-occurring? im in the docs or ER for breathing treatments, antibiotics or severe sinus infections etc… now the tightness of the chest is frequent…. obviously i have too switch doctors as this last doc screwed me and blew me off which resulted in the ER visit a few days later etc.. now im sick as a dog, high fever, body aches from hell and im eating ex strength acetaminophen like candy ie. w a percocet here n there as well… how do i get through this, is it a virus? as my temp shot up like crazy! quick! is it bacterial as the infection in my chest and sinuses never leaves! what is wrong w me? do i need allergy shots or a new weather scene in a new city? i live in a river valley thats heaven for allergy doctors as people are always sick with allergy/sinus issues etc…

how and where do i begin as my doc is fired! searching for a new doc and hoping too treat the source or the problem versus the symptoms… thanks!

I would say find a new doctor. If you are prone to bronchitis it can recur when you get chest colds or upper respiratory infections of any kind.

You most likely should be refered to a doctor that specializes in lung disorders.

She Also clears her throat frequently, and says she feels like there are “boogers” in her throat. I believe this is allergy related as she has done this off and on since the age of one. But the bad breath and white, pastey tongue is something new! I have no idea what this could be.

It sounds like oral thrush…so I would take her to the doctor to get a firm diagnosis.
