I brush my teeth at least 2-3 times a day…if not more. I use mouth wash almost every time.

i brush my tongue…and try to floss often…

it seems that my breath begins to smell or taste funny after about 20 minutes after I brush…isnt that odd? I am not a fan of gum, since i tend to swallow it a lot…

im not sure what to do…i guess i can ask my dentist…any good solutions?:

It looks like you are doing things right.

This is what the Mayo Clinic says to do:

following steps to improve or prevent bad breath:

■Brush your teeth after you eat. Keep a toothbrush at work to brush after eating. Be sure to brush at least twice a day, for two to three minutes at a time.
■Floss at least once a day. Proper flossing removes food particles and plaque from between your teeth.
■Brush your tongue. Giving your tongue a gentle brushing removes dead cells, bacteria and food debris. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush or a flexible tongue scraper. Try to clean as far back as you can without gagging because the bacteria tend to collect toward the back.
■Clean your dentures well. If you wear a bridge or a partial or complete denture, clean it thoroughly at least once a day or as directed by your dentist.
■Drink plenty of water. To keep your mouth moist, be sure to consume plenty of water — not coffee, soft drinks or alcohol. Chewing gum (preferably sugarless) or sucking on candy (preferably sugarless) also stimulates saliva, washing away food particles and bacteria. If you have chronic dry mouth, your dentist or doctor may additionally prescribe an artificial saliva preparation or an oral medication that stimulates the flow of saliva.
■Use a fairly new toothbrush. Change your toothbrush every three to four months, and choose a soft-bristled toothbrush.
■Schedule regular dental checkups. At least twice a year, see your dentist to have your teeth or dentures examined and cleaned.
■Chew fresh parsley or suck on a sugarless mint. Doing so may temporarily improve bad breath.

I could really kick myself right now. I just left the doctor’s office and got so lost in the conversation about my other health problems that I didn’t even ask the doctor if I have oral thrush and if she could prescribe something for it. I’m pretty sure I have it – though I don’t have the milky lesions, just a white coating on the tongue that won’t go away and a horrible metallic taste accompanied by bad breath. it just started a few days ago right before the onset of nausea, migraines and chills. The doc thinks a sinus infection is the culprit of the other symptoms. Anyhoo, the taste is so bad that I can’t stand to drink water and my breath is just awful. I need to know what I can do to help this go away, if anything (besides taking probiotics and eating unsweetened yogurt). I’m already taking probiotics even though I haven’t taken them regularly in about a week. Hmm, I wonder if getting off track with the probiotics caused the thrush? Any insight on this would be really helpful and I’ll be forever thankful!

If you have TRUE thrush, yogurt should help. The bacteria in yogurt helps fight the overcrowding of the bacteria that causes thrush. But you have to make sure that you buy a yogurt that says “live cultures” on the container. (Yoplait or dannon) Try doing that, that’s usually what doctors will tell you to do as well. If this doesn’t help, then you probably don’t have thrush and you should consult a doctor.

i’ve tried drinking 2 litres of water but i only did that for a few days how long do i have to keep drinking for or are there any better remedies.

btw i’m not allowed gum at school so that’s not an option and i don’t want to use those fresh breath sprays as you get addicted.

My (papillon) dog is now 5 years old – turning 6 in June. I just noticed the other day that one of his front tooth is loose. It looks like it might need to come out if not treated. The problem is I do not have the money to take him to the vet and have his tooth extracted. How can I avoid the dentist? i have a friend (human, not a dog) called Nick James Snell and his suffering with this dilemma, he feels his soul and self- respect shrivel into a pile of manure( or should i say the manure from his mouth, lol! ) and feels some days he cant open his mouth without the fear of killing another human. Can you you find it in the bottom of your hearts to help our little smell sweetheart as we our now have no other choices. If we cant find a remedy iam afraid we may be forced to put him down as the smell is becoming unbearable

Brush with a baking soda paste, and then rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash. It should keep your breath fresh for a couple hrs at least!

HI [Male -24] i brush my teeth regularly once in a day.However, I clean my tongue twice a day. If I do it in the morning by afternoon 1 PM my mouth gives a bad breath especially bad matter on tongue increases and my tongue becomes whitish growing to the end of the day. Try ayurvedic combo of three called Triphala powder. Take one teaspoonful with one teaspoonful
of organic honey every night. If there is still difficulty in proper evacuation then increase the dosage
to two teaspoonful along with two teaspoonful of honey. Once your bowel movement is regularised
revert back to one teaspoonful. About bad breath, no matter whether you brush, or floss, or gargle
your teeth and even scrub your tongue twice a day it is not going to work unless you also clean
the roof of your mouth above the tongue properly. Also consume two pinch of bishops seed
(ajwain seed) preferably in a beetle leaf which will regulate all your digestive as well as gastric
