Question by Remaining Optimistic: Dog’s tooth is falling out – what can I do?
My (papillon) dog is now 5 years old – turning 6 in June. I just noticed the other day that one of his front tooth is loose. It looks like it might need to come out if not treated. The problem is I do not have the money to take him to the vet and have his tooth extracted. How can I avoid the dentist? Is there any home remedies I can do to possible treat his tooth from corrosion or from getting any worse. I have been reading online that a dog’s bad breath can be an early sign of tooth decay – is this correct? What can I do? Should I let the tooth fall out naturally? Please advise me on my options?

get a hydrogen breath test to find out if your stomach is fermenting food instead of digesting it it then expels mercaptans through the lungs which smell like sewers, can be cured with refaximin antibiotic which works on the lower gut
