My Golden retriever has a swollen gum around one of his back teeth. I have been researching things and it my be something like gingivitis hyperplasia not sure though. I have been brushing his teeth since I found this. I just want to know if there is something more I can do before taking him to the vet. By the way he has no pain, no bad breath. Please help!!

I have had a really bad cold for about a week now and now the cough is at it’s worse. It’s one of those deep, loud, “horse” coughs. If I get the tiniest tickle or irritation in my throat, I am forced to cough very obnoxiously. Sometimes I’ll cough so hard I’ll lose my breath, gag, or my eyes will water. Not to mention my ribs and stomach muscles are unbelievablably sore now. This is no wimpy cough! I am NOT coughing up anything though. I think it is a dry cough. A few days ago, there might of been some mucus in my throat and chest but I don’t think there is as much anymore. It feels more dry than anything. I have tried everything to calm my cough/chest but nothing has worked. I have been forced to stay up the past 2 nights, practically coughing myself to death all night! I want sleep! Please someone help the irritation in my throat go away so I’ll quit coughing! I need a miracle.

I have a four year old min pin that I recently adopted. Well, more like rescued- He has ALOT of problems. But this has me shook! He did have kennel cough about a year ago. It was supposedly taken care of, but in the 6 months I have had him, he has a ton of congestion. The vet had him on antibiotics for a month straight. It worked as long as he takes the antibiotic, as soon as he quits it, hes sick again. He has really awful breath, chest congestion, runny nose, crusty eyes, and a hacking/gagging problem. I have taken him off the antibiotics, as they are expensive & not good on a continuous basis, and started him on probiotics for 2 weeks now. I am open to any suggestions to help my little guy. He has had a BAD life, & my only goal is to help him feel better & know what a good life is all about. I dont have alot of money & truly just trust all natural over prescription meds. Thanks for any help or knowledge that you can share.

I have been sick for past couple days just a bad cold times 10, not just the runny nose and soar throat, it hurts so bad every time i cough but if i dont cough i cant breath, just taking a shower having the water hit my stomach made me wanna puke. I have the grosses taste in my mouth that no matter how much i brush it just wont go away, I took some benadryl last night and woke up every 2 hours! It is the first day of spring and I am missing out plus i have alot of homework i need to get done. I have also been chucking down OJ but now the taste in my mouth is making it so hard. Does anyone have home remedies??? PLEASE

I have a really bad sore throat for a lil over a week now. i have white things on my tonsils also. I have a lot of green mucus that is stuck in the back of my nasal passage way and at night it blocks my throat and its hard for me to breath. i have to breath through my mouth. i dont have any insurance so i cant go to the dr. i have also been garggling with warm salt water but it doesnt really help.
1. i’m not doing anything illegal.
2. its not strep. i have more cold symptoms. plus i know why i have a sore throat. i was out mardi gras-ing last weekend in the cold weather.

I have issues with my salivary glands at time and now they are killing me, right under my jaw. Then my tonsils are swollen and sore and it hurts to breath and talk, but it’s not too bad. I’m at class now and can handle this just fine, it’s just annoying and I want it cleared up. There’s not really any cough but the breathing is weird. I woke up in the middle of the night last night having to catch my breath in a panic attack. It wasn’t too dramatic just scary for a few seconds then I went back to sleep and forgot all about it. My chest is tight. I’ve been drinking alcohol the past week, a lot more than usual, so I could just be dehydrated and sore from yelling. When should I go to a doctor? I would rather not do that though, seeing as I have no insurance, so what can I do to help clear this up on my own?

I been having breathing problems for a while now. I think tonight though is my first real asthma attack. Its not so bad that I can’t breath I just feel a little short of breath. Is there anything to stop a asthma attack besides medication? I am going to the doctor on friday . I don’t want to have to go to the ER I cant afford the medicine they would prescribe anyway no insurance any suggestions? Thanks
I have never had one before so I have no medicine for it. I am coughing alot short of breath and my chest is kinda tight. My mom has asthma real bad so I am almost postive its an attack. I really don’t want to go to the ER if I don’t have to.
