Question by : Can the bacteria on the tongue lead to anything apart from bad breath? And is a toothbrush enough to clean it?
I am wondering if the bacteria on the tongue can lead to anything more serious than just bad breath, I must admit i am 15 and have never cleaned my tongue only my teeth, I thought the white coating on my tongue was just form being dehydrated but now i know it is bacteria that causes bad breath and i am wondering if rubbing gently with a wet toothbrush and rinsing the mouth with water is enough to get rid of this bacteria effectively, My toothpaste has the chemical which causes dehydration (Can’t remember the name something like Lauryl whatever) so i don’t use toothpaste on my tongue.

Mouth washing is enough to clean the tongue, some bacteria are always in the mouth and are needed anyway. Is your mouthwash maybe Corsydol? This is strong and can stain your teeth if used daily. Try buying an own brand mouthwash this is just as good. Corsydol is only needed for gum healing.

I’ve been having a bad breath problem for awhile. I’ve recently just been using the mouth washes, thinking that was the problem. But even right after I brush my teeth, there is always an odd smell in my breath. I’ve read online that bad breath can be caused not only from the mouth and gums, but also from problems in the stomach. Which makes me wonder because I often have stomach problems, and my stomach hurts after I eat most times. But I am wondering how to go about with this problem….do I first go to a Dr’s and describe my problem? Telling them about my bad breath problem, and I’m not sure as to if it’s coming from my stomach or my mouth? Or do I see a dentist first as tell them this? Any help will be greatly appreciated !

eating apples can reduce plaque in ur teeth & i dunno if u already heard this, but u can find toothbrushes with little toungue scrapers on the back. I actually use one and it sounds weird, but if u get the way back of ur tounge, which gags u( I do it anyway), it gets rid of the bacteria on the back of ur tounge(bad breath causer). Even look it up if u need 2.

Hello!
I’m trying to indentify whether my bad breath is coming from my stomach or my tonsils. The breath is worst especially in the morning. Whenever I touch my tonsils with the finget it smells really bad. I don’t have that white stuff stucked in my tonsils, however ocasionally I would get very tiny pieces..but that does not happend often. My stomach is also bothering me a lot..and has been bothering for quite some time. Now I wonder if the smell comes from my tonsils or my stomach.
I also have to clear my throat very often , like every 10 minutes. And I can feel a lot of mucus down my throat.

Is it possible that my stomach is upset because of those smelly tonsils? Or a stomach produces something that makes my tonsils infected. I’m confused!

Unless you have just eaten onions or curry, bad breath doesn’t come from your stomach, it comes from your mouth, teeth and sinuses.
You may have a bad tooth or a sinus infection or thrush.
Google “halitosis” and start there.

I am afraid that I am suffering from the delusional disorder called “erotomania”. But before I comit to seeing a psychiatrist I need an oppinion from the general public. I don’t want to take meds if I don’t need them but I also don’t want to imagine something this grandiose ever again.

This is an interestingly detailed yet long story. But I need your help! Do me a big favor. ? Please analyze this carefully before giving me your true opinion. I am very delicate and horrified at the thought that I might be delusional. Thanks for your time.

I believed for awhile that a famous rock star is secretly in love with me but we have never met. I’ve come to accept that this is a delusion but are these coicidences strong enough to excuse me from this “disorder” and medication? These coincidences are infinite. Even my mom was convinced that this was real at first. But maby this disorder runs in the family.

Several years ago before he became famous I went to his concert. Before and during the show he was staring at me for a long period of time but I would never look back at him because I’m shy. It was a small venue of about 50 people. I sang along and was obviously completely taken by his music. When the show was over I left. Shortly after he wrote this song.

I immediatly thought this song was about me and that concert. So I made myself known on his website and addressed the song. I explained that him starring at me wasn’t a joke (my friends were giggling when he was starring at me) and that I left the concert without meeting him because of friends pushing me out the door. And then I went on posting on his website. coincidently everything that I said looked like an attack on him and his persona as he was struggling to learn how to handle his new stardom. Then he wrote another song that I thought was about me too because it was about the same things that I was saying on his website. When he introduced the song he said, “This song is about the kind of love that is just an illusion, which is the best kind of love. It’s the kind of love that will never dissapoint you and never break your heart because it was never real to begin with”

It is my poem in picture form! The apple tree. An apple falling from the tree. And what appears to be a semi-erased swing. Do you see it? He’s not the greatest painter so it took me awhile to figure out the back of the box. Until I listened to one of his songs again from the same album that said “It’s a black balloon. It’s a dream I’ll soon deny.” If you use your imagination then you can see someone laying on a bed with black balloons floating around the box.

I didn’t know what this phrase meant until 2 weeks later when I went to his concert. I was certain I’d meet him this time. And I did. I was sitting in the balcony (which I had stated on his website that it’s where I prefer to sit). Low and behold I turn around and he is standing behind me. I think you’re a visual and imaginative person, who has provided (unknowingly) another imaginative person with some serious inspiration He’s used your ideas. It’s as simple as that.

When you post material on the net, which is a public domain, you run the risk that someone will pick it up either in whole or use parts to form thier own work from.

I think you’re thinking too deeply into this encounter. If he remembered you or was interested, I suspect he would have contacted you by now, and would definitely have recognised you!

What you do towards him now is entirely up to you, but wouldn’t you feel better obsessing over somebody closer to home and a touch more…ahem…*accessible* Like a nice, hunky boyfriend, for example
