does anyone know of a natural cure to cure for bad breath? like a food or something? i would just use gum, but i dont have that much cash.

Hi. I know this sounds nasty, but when I was little my parents never taught me to brush my teeth. My dad worked away and my mom was hell mom, she did not care at all. She then would ridicule me in a rude way for my “stinky breath”. I kind of then rebelled against her and not brushed on purpose. Pretty stupid on my side, but I was a kid.

Disgusting story – I know.

Well now I am an adult, and I guess I now have chronic bad breath. I do brush my teeth and try to clean them as much. It isn’t as bad, but every now and then I do notice people take notice.

I breathe a lot through my mouth and have post nasal drip so I guess that could be part of the problem.

I’ve read that drinking water is good, but then I’m afraid that drinking too much might cause issues in other parts of my body.

Should I try taking altoids to work? Can they harm my health? What about the sugar free ones?

I’ve been suggested gum, but doesn’t that mess your stomach because the brain thinks it’s chewing food?

I know I have a lot of stuff going on in my head in regards to side effects. I was wondering what would be a healthy way to tackle the problem or if my concerns above are even real.

I also heard that mouthwashes only worsen problem?

I’ve been to the dentist, and to my surprise, my teeth are pretty healthy for the most part.

I know I should probably go to a doctor, but right now I’m going through so much in life, I can’t deal with the stress of a doctor visit (I know that sounds lame, but I’ve been going through a lot).

i had it for 4 weeks T^T i used mouthwash and tongue scraper,i brush my teeth well and i have no rotten teeth i didnt eat unions or anything like that
and i still have bad breath …weird
i dont know where is it coming from

and i wear braces if that helps

Whenever i exert myself i tend to smell my breath which to me smells like cat pissed litter. Also i always have to spit mucus and phlegm after eating or drinking alcohol. Please help as it is ruining my social life.

Question by Belle: How can I cure my dog’s severe bad breath?
I’ve been a vet. tech for 4 years and own a 3.5 yr old 30lbs mixed terrier. I ensure he gets a thorough anesthetic dental cleaning every year. I give him a Glenhaven Dental Chew (Large) every day. While he chews these, I’ve added the Glenhaven Water Additive for bad breath to his water every day and brushed his teeth. But, since these treatments have been to no avail, I’ve stopped everything except the daily chew. Several vets have said his gums are fine as well as the condition of his teeth. I still cannot defeat this HORRID breath he has. I’ve tried greenies as well but they are way too harsh on his digestive system. I’ve complained to vets about his breath despite my treatment for it. He used to eat cat feces but I have long since put a stop to that. I’m at a loss, the vets are at a loss, and I’ve no where else to turn to but to other people who’ve tried things that worked. Are there any suggestions anyone may have that I can try? I’d appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks

Greenies has just recently changed there formula, to be lighter on there stomach. Besides that I dont have anything! My dogs have the same problem..
