An infection in the sinus can cause this. You should take the baby to the doctor to get checked out. The baby may need an antibiotic to clear it up.

Question by sugarcookie: Can you have tonsil stones AFTER having your tonsils out? my daughter has yellow lumps that do not cough out.
My 12 yr old daughter had a tonsillectomy at the age of 6, so did my 21 yr old son. They both suffered with strep throat SEVERAL times from the age of 4 to 6. My son has had NO difficulties with his throat. BUT, I have taken my daughter to the dr. several times since, because of a sore throat and thought it was strep again, but it has never been. The dr. said it is what he calls ‘cobble stones’ He told me the ‘medical term’ but it went over my head. Anyway, I read about tonsil stones and was wondering if you could still get them after a tonsillectomy. She does NOT cough them out, but she has always had bad breath. Her throat is sore and she is a little hoarse, but has NO fever or any other symptoms. She sometimes has sinus headaches and has drainage and also swimmer’s ear. She has missed a lot of school due to her throat being so sore. I made her an appt. with an ENT dr. for after school is out this summer, because our family dr. never does anything.

that happened to me once i had mine taken out. i suggest going and getting a anti-biotic from a doctor. that what i had to do. although mine may be worse cuz mine were green where they used to be and i couldnt cought it either. i had the worst breath! hope this helps :)

I had a really bad cough for two weeks, and a couple days ago, my ribs started hurting a little when i coughed, and it got worse the next day, and now when i cough or sneeze it hurts like hell, and also when i move in a certain way, or take a deep breath. my dad said i either pulled a muscle or cracked a rib…i really don’t want to go the doc, would just give me pain killer anyway…
