If bad breath is NOT coming from decayed tooth,poor oral and tongue care,then where could the bad breath originate from.I do all this;i floss,brush teeth 2 or 3 times a day,use a non-alcoholic very good mouthwash,brush tongue very well,dont have any allergy eating any food that blows me out or whatever,but i still have a very bad breath.What could be the reasons looking at all what am doing.Am so sick and tired of chewing gums and i want to talk freely and freshly without chewing gum,what can i do?Also how different is a bad breath specialist from a dentist.Dont they all do the same things.I also dont believe in this bad breath specialists and dentists because whenever you visit,they say the same thing;brush teeth,clean tongue very well and all the same things that i do very well.What can i do,i really need to make friends and be able to converse with my friends.

Find out where it is coming from. It could be your tonsils or it could be your sinus cavity… it could even come from your lungs. Once you know where its coming from then you can do something about it.

i love her, shes my best friend, but she has bad breath. even in the morning after she brushes her teeth, my breath smells fine all day, but i dont smoke, she does cigarettes and pot, could that be it? what can i do to help, cause im tired of the stink! its like cat poop stink too, real bad.

See … 10 points will not help you … Only you you can help yourself … Anyway, I feel for you. So I will give my thoughts.

Bad breath can be caused by various reasons: bad dental hygiene, gum disease (Which has nothing to do with how well you brush only), dry mouth, liver problems, nasal drips …. and so on. Since you seem to be in otherwise healthy condition, I would rule out some of the rare occasions when the issue can be caused by kidney and other conditions.

Thinking having good hygiene can be different than what a doctor would want for example. If you are brushing and flossing may be from some time, but prior to that you did not, then the plaque build up will cause persistent breadth issue. Only your periodontist can confirm that. If your regular dentist has not been able to resolve the issue, get a referral for the periodontist.

If gum disease is not the problem, cavities can collect the food. Sometimes, you may not be able to see the cavities and what you think as small cavity can be big inside. Only X-Ray’s can reveal these issues.

If you are not already, you should see a dentist every six months to get your teeth cleaned. If you are smoking you would need to stop. Drink lots of water. That helped me a lot. Oh, the other thing is to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner regularly. Don’t over do it as tongue is real tender and can irritate easily.

Bad breadth problem in general is indicative of other systemic issues. It can be anything from mouth itself to other issues. Thus you should consult a doctor. My issue got cleared when I went to periodontist. Now I enjoy very smell free breath which in itself has increased my confidence.

It may not be your breath it could be some residue on your tongue. Get a tongue scrapper (local grocery store or pharmacy). Then try using a mild mouth wash.

Bad breath is caused by odor-producing bacteria that grow in the mouth.

Have you had a dental check up late? It could be coming from the teeth or gums if they aren’t in good condition.

Sinus problems can also cause the breath to smell.

Smoking and certain foods also cause bad breath.

I haven’t heard of this Report but I’d suggest you visit either your GP or dentist to find out exactly what’s causing it.

Dentists do whitening procedures and you can also buy teeth whitening kits from the pharmacy that work quite well.

I chew Wrigleys Extra Spearmint gum. I also like to eat Mentos Mint. I also sometimes chew Wrigleys Doublemint. I LOVE Spearmint better than Peppermint. (Spearmint is sweeter and Peppermint is kinda a little strong but I still like it.) And do Listerine Pocketpaks work? (I mean are they strong and minty)

the other day i saw a t.v program about a childrens hospital and there was a little girl who had really bad breath… when she went to hospital to get it checked out it turned out that she had put a bead in her ear and up her nose which had become infected – causing the bad breath. it might not be this, but i know a handicapped child who doesn’t have bad breath, so i wouldn’t think it’s because he’s handicapped.

So it is very embarrassing and I can’t speak about it in person with anyone for obvious reasons, but my breath smells like feces…it is so awful that I feel like everyone talks about me if I am near them. My question is, what can stop it? I brush my teeth at least twice a day, with mouthwash and floss…

I have been brushing and flossing and using mouthwash for the last year and it just will not go away. What makes it worse is because someone told me to brush my teeth because they smelled it, yet I do. It’s an awful feeling and I feel like I am a good person at heart so why is this happening to me. But is this just some strange and rare occurrence or does this happen to many people?

I have tried the Orabrush and that doesn’t work. I have tried mouthwash that my dentist recommending to get rid of the smell and it doesn’ work. I have bought different tooth brushes and used ones that my dentist recommended. Yes I know about Halitosis. I don’t know what else to do other than have breath mints handy, but I don’t want to spend the rest of my life worrying about if I have breath mints or not. And I REALLY would hate to not be able to be intimate with someone because of it. Is there anything you guys can tell me that will help?

Awe I feel terrible. It seems like you have tried really hard so at this point, I would see a doctor for it. Until then, keep doing what you’re doing and chew a minty flavored gum or have a mint in hand at all times. I hope this gets better for you!
