Verily†the dawn is the head of the horse which is fit for sacrifice, the sun its eye, the wind its breath, the mouth the Vaisv‚nara†fire, the year the body of the sacrificial horse. Heaven is the back, the sky the belly, the earth the chest†, the quarters the two sides, the intermediate quarters the ribs, the members the seasons, the joints the months and half-months, the feet days and nights, the bones the stars, the flesh the clouds. The half-digested food is the sand, the rivers the bowels†, the liver and the lungs†the mountains, the hairs the herbs and trees. As the sun rises, it is the forepart, as it sets, the hindpart of the horse. When the horse shakes itself†, then it lightens; when it kicks, it thunders; when it makes water, it rains; voice† is its voice.
Verily Day arose after the horse as the (golden) vessel†, called Mahiman (greatness), which (at the sacrifice) is placed before the horse. Its place is in the Eastern sea. The Night arose after the horse as the (silver) vessel, called Mahiman, which (at the sacrifice) is placed behind the horse. Its place is in the Western sea. Verily, these two vessels (or greatnesses) arose to be on each side of the horse.
As a racer he carried the Devas, as a stallion the Gandharvas, as a runner the Asuras, as a horse men. The sea is its kin, the sea is its birthplace.
In the beginning there was nothing (to be perceived) here whatsoever. By Death indeed all this was concealed,–by hunger; for death is hunger. Death (the first being) thought, ‘Let me have a body.’ Then he moved about, worshipping. From him thus worshipping water was produced. And he said: ‘Verily, there appeared to me, while I worshipped (arkate), water (ka).’ This is why water is called ar-ka†1. Surely there is water (or pleasure) for him who thus knows the reason why water is called arka.
There were two kinds of descendants of Prag‚pati, the Devas and the Asuras†. Now the Devas were indeed the younger, the Asuras the elder ones†. The Devas, who were struggling in these worlds, said: ‘Well, let us overcome the Asuras at the sacrifices (the Gyotishtoma) by means of the udgÓtha.’
They said to speech (V‚k): ‘Do thou sing out for us (the udgÓtha).’ ‘Yes,’ said speech, and sang (the udgÓtha). Whatever delight there is in speech, that she obtained for the Devas by singing (the three pavam‚nas); but that she pronounced well (in the other nine pavam‚nas), that was for herself. The Asuras knew: ‘Verily, through this singer they will overcome us.’ They therefore rushed at the singer and pierced her with evil. That evil which consists in saying what is bad, that is that evil.
Then they (the Devas) said to breath (scent): ‘Do thou sing out for us.’ ‘Yes,’ said breath, and sang. Whatever delight there is in breath (smell), that he obtained for the Devas by singing; but that he smelled well, that was for himself. The Asuras knew: ‘Verily, through this singer they will overcome us.’ They therefore rushed at the singer, and pierced him with evil. That evil which consists in smelling what is bad, that is that evil.
Then they said to the eye: ‘Do thou sing out for us.’ ‘Yes,’ said the eye, and sang. Whatever delight there is in the eye, that he obtained for the Devas by singing; but that he saw well, that was for himself The Asuras knew: ‘Verily, through this singer they will overcome us.’

I ate activia yogurt for a little over a week and my husband mentioned my breath had been smelling bad… I just had my teeth cleaned so I was sure I didn’t have any tooth problems and I am in good health.. I stopped eating the yogurt and my breath returned to normal in just a couple days, so I KNOW that dannon activia yogurt gave me bad breath…
anyone else experience this?

I went to the ENT and my sinuses are fine. Well he noted that I may have reflux. I am scheduled for a EGD. is there anything i should be concerned a bout? Has anyone had this problem. Can reflux cause bad breath this is really embarassing. are there any treatments for bad breath?

No jokes about wanting bad breath or to ward off vampires. Does it indicate my body’s need for a specific herb, vitamin or possibly an attempt to naturally fight off a disease. Seriously, sometimes garlic is all I can think about and all of the food I cook revolves around it SUDDENLY.

My fellow employees’ breath should be rated R , or maybe NC-17. After he talks to me I usually have to read the bible a little bit to get some spiritual comfort after the vile attack on my nostrils is over.

My daughter is 6 1/2 and she has always had kinda not so good smelling breath. She is an avid teeth brusher and she flosses, we have tried mouth washes. I just want to figure out how to take care of this problem before she gets older. She has had a problem with acid reflux since she was 3, so i wonder if this might be part of the problem. Her doctor suggested some kind of yogurt to try. Anyone else have this issue and have any suggestions on how to fix it?

My breath does stink but it never seems to help to brush my teeth/use mouthwash/ floss…… Any tips?
