Brush your tongue. It may sound funny, but it works. A lot of bacteria is broken down on your tongue.

Use mouthwash twice a day. I use the alcohol-free.

Brush in the morning and before going to bed in the night.

Keep your mouth closed :)

Nah, just kidding…just make sure to have those mint strips handy or chew on watermelon bubblegum. Brush your tongue and the roof of your mouth when you brush your teeth, use listerine. Avoid eating too much garlic or onions.

Use Listerine Advanced formula and a new “Crest” toothpaste that has “Scope” inside. Both products use a new ingredient just approved by the FDA. The product literally disinfects the mouth. (Zinc chloride).

Also, brush your tongue with a tongue brush first. Tongue brushes are available at Walgreens, etc.. (Brush tongue, rinse brush, brush tongue, rinse brush.. until the tongue is clean)

Also, change your brush at least once a month.

Try brushing with salt for a week or two. Salt is good for killing bacteria. Make sure to brush your tongue too.

As others have said, brushing your tongue and using mouthwash will certainly help. You could also make sure that you floss twice daily as it is surprising how much food can get trapped in the narrow gaps between our teeth. Also avoiding spicy foods and drinking plenty of water should help.

Brush your tongue and use mouth wash. Visit a doctor to find out whether or not the halitosis is related to any medical condition. You can also eat certs or tic tacs, chew gum, etc., until you can be evaluated by a doctor. Halitosis is related to many illnesses, and is sometimes a key symptom to the doctor when trying to make a diagnosis.

- floss your teeth once per day
- brush your teeth 2-3 times per day; also brush your tongue when you do this
- eating fresh parsley is known to improve bad breath
- do eat/chew any sugared candy or gum
- only use sugarless gum/breath mints (sugar actually makes bad breath much, much worse as it feed the bacteria)
- drink plenty of water throughout the day. Not being hydrated enough can cause over growth of mouth bacteria
