in how to cure bad breath

i got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled last wednesday (seven days ago). ever since then i’ve been in aweful pain. and for the past maybe 4-5 days i’ve had really bad jaw pains and aweful breath and taste. i’m pretty positive i have dry socket after reading all reviews and i did a huge research mission to find out. all i got out of it was oil cloves and dressings. but is there any way to make the smell and taste go away quicker than the estimated time? i really can’t stand it at all. it makes me sick. and also, i still can’t open my mouth but maybe a centimeter and a half, does anyone know how to make it easier to open my mouth? thanks :]

You should go to your dentist. They should be able to pack it with a gauze that dissolves in there!

Are you sure you have dry socket? If the pain is manageable with painkillers, you may not have dry socket. I would suggest going back to your dentist or oral surgeon if the pain is not manageable.

If you do not have dry socket, it is likely that you have food trapped in the holes. You should buy a syringe with a hooked tip, and irrigate the holes after every meal with warm salt water. This should improve the taste and smell dramatically.

To open your mouth wider, use a warm compress, like a hot water bottle. If you don’t have a hot water bottle, try microwaving a damp cloth for 30 seconds and then wrapping it in a plastic bag to conserve the heat.

Good luck
