How to treat this case of bad breath (Might be simple but I don’t know)?

in causes of bad breath

First of all, I’ve had bad habits brushing my teeth since youth. My parent never accustomed me to daily brushing and now I’m suffering the consequences by being obsessed with the negative effects. Nowadays I brush them normally, floss and use mouthwash. Hopefully the consequences of bad oral hygiene from youth will go away.

I don’t know if it’s just in my mind or not, but I think I have unnatural breath smell. I tried licking my arm and dried it for a couple minutes, smelled it and it smelled weird. Maybe there’s a fungus causing infection in my tongue or gums I thought.

My tongue in the back has some circles – they might be results from a fungus or they might be normal. However, my side top gums (Left and right) are like very slightly swollen and red. They don’t look like the gums from my front teeth.

Can these be possible causes of bad breath?

I’ve just started rinsing with warm water mixed with salt to hopefully reverse the red gums look.

I also started putting baking soda on my tongue to hopefully get rid of the possible fungus or infection.
I’m 18
