Hi, my name is Jasmine, I’m 21 years old. I’ve had a problem for 3 months now that Doctors haven’t been able to cure for me. I’ve had chronic diarrhea along with horrible abdominal pain, chest pain, back pain and rib pain. Doctors have only made assumptions and various test as well as culture test and yet they keep saying that all of my test come back normal and that I am perfectly healthy. My problem still persists and it’s getting worse everyday because now it hurts my chest and stomach when I breath, laugh, cough or sneeze, and it also hurts my abdomen and stomach when I walk. Sometimes I can’t get out of bed,every time I eat, I have to rush to the restroom. I don’t know what to do or where to go anymore. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!

the problem could be:
1- build up/s of fecal matter stuck in digestive tract
2- tapeworm or other digestive tract parasites
3- lack of essential digestive enzyme
4- could be or partly be a kidney problem allthough not likely if you do not have mostly lower back pain & the doctors did not find anything.
so most likely it is number 1-
if you drink/ingest a lot of things with high fructose corn syrup, cofee, or very sugary stuff, or use to, than this is likely.
first, try taking a home enema. get a home enema kit from the pharmacy. hold the fluid in for as long as you can before ‘letting it loose’ than examine color. if it is extremely dark and extra stinky than it may be #1- fecal backup
2- if your appetite has increased and you have lost weight than it could be a stomach/digestive tract parasite. (a bug that eats your poo)
3- if the problem (diarrhea) and discomfort is compounded after eating food with certain arrributes (high in fiber, lots of starch/carbs, etc.) than the problem may be a ‘malfunction’ in the pancreas, gall bladder, or other enzyme producing organ- it is highly unlikely that this one is the problem, as this one is more likely to be detected by doctors. been detected by your doctors.
start ASAP: for now-
1) eat a banana every day;
2) start drinking (real homemade) mint tea (no or VERY little sugar);
3) for now drink only tea (home brewed red, green, black, or mint with very little if any sugar) or water. drink n othing else for now. no more juice, soda, snapple, arizona, etc.
4) eat a low fat yogurt every day. no other dairy for now.
5) make an appointment to see a gastroenterologist or a gastro-intestinal specialist.
Have you been to a gastroenterologist? You may need a specialist in this sort of thing. You could also try different things in your diet, and see if that affects things before you go see the specialist. Try limiting fiber, nuts, and seeds. See if that makes a difference. I have Crohn’s, and I know when I feel like that, it helps to take those things out of my diet. Another thing that might help is the BRAT diet–Bananas, Rice, Apples (no skin) and Toast. Try that, and then ask your doctor to refer you to a gastroenterologist.
Does it hurt when you take a deep breath? All the other symptoms sound like a rib out of place, it can do all kinds of crazy things to your body but one of the sure signs of it being out is not being able to take a deep breath. A trip to the chiro will fix you right up, the regular md’s will miss this one forever.
wow, that sounds terrible. Okay, I know this is going to sound weird, but in January I was on a yoga vacation in Mexico and I got ‘montazumas revenge’ bad! I went to class anyway and we did the plow pose (halasana). Like a shoulder stand and then you put your feet on the ground behind you. It really helped and my instructor said it is recommended for stomach ailments. It probably won’t help for a major problem, but it’s wortha try. Good luck.
