How should I treat my cat (vets wont help!)?

in home remedies for bad breath

My cat is 11 years old, and weighs about 12 lbs. For about a week now, she’s been very lethargic. she sleeps all day, sits in the same spot for hours. Sometimes moves a little bit, but gets tired and just goes to sleep right there. She is not eating or drinking. I have to force feed her. And the thing that concerns me most is that she is breathing heavily. I can see her stomach go really big, when she tries to breath. Two days ago we brought it to a veterinarian, but her condition gets really worse because she was never brought anywhere that far. When we got there, she started breathing really heavily, and starting crying, because she was scared. It looked like she was about to die right there(thats how bad it was). The vet said that she was in a very bad condition and would not be able to survive for long. The vet said that she may have kidney failure or heart disease. They said they couldn’t treat her because they do not have over night services or some crap and told us to go to another hospital that was too far away. So I brought it home and gave her home remedies including turmeric powder, garlic powder, and cranberry podwer(a smashed up cranberry pill). After giving the home remedies, she was able to urinate. There was nothing wrong with it, just that it was dark urine, with lots of odor. It’s current diet includes wet cat food (about 2 spoons a day). Other symptoms include inablity to urinate(last urination was wednesday about 2pm), and constipation. Can you guys tell me what I should do besides bringing it to a vet? Is there any herbal medicine I can use to treat her? I don’t want to bring her back to a vet because I believe it will get extremely worse, because she gets so scared and starts breathing really heavily. At home she is calm and looks like she is doing OK for now. I need to know what kind of illness she has. What should her diet be like? What should I feed it, and how much I should feed it? Anything I should avoid? Oh, and last question… Does catnip stimulate lethargic cats? Thank you for answering.
how long does it have if it has kidney failure?
