Wash your mouth first thing in the morning.

Eat something before you brush & use your mouthwash. Even a piece of toast or fruit. It will stop the overnight fasting process (where your body is cleaning itself out) & everyone gets that nasty breath in the a.m.

I wear retainers too, so i suggest to you to try Dr. Katz (sp) oxygenating system. It tastes different… kinda like diluted peppermint and peroxide or something, but it works well!

i use it and it gets down deep to kill the anaerobic bacteria (bacteria that doesn’t need oxygen to live) like in your tongue and between your teeth. Regular tooth brushing and rinsing doesn’t kill these stinky sulfur bugs! It also works great for pesky tonsil stones!

Try it out! Works for me :)
Hope it helps!

just brush ur teeth carefully 30-60 min before, if u feel its necessary another morning brushing session will do the job, if there is a bad breath after that, something is there, tooth cavity, gum pockest, other causes than mouth may be nasal inflammation or gastric troubles (stomach)

its either the retainer or your mouth … scaling would be an option .. and if the cause is not your mouth then its most probably the retainers , u have to keep it clean , around the corners and in case of a removable appliance ,.. you have to keep in an antiseptic solution

Tea Tree Oil… Go to any walmart, and it is in the vitamin section. It is a small bottle of liquid. DO NOT DRINK!! Just put a little on your the tip of your finger, and rub it on your gums. It tastes a little weird, but it works. I included a web page that you should read if you are unsure of what I am telling you.
