Can an ovarian cyst cause bad breath?

in causes of bad breath

I have a history of getting ovarian cysts. I recently noticed that I get awful bad breath that won’t go away even when I use mouth wash and brush my teethe right before I get bad pain from having a cyst rupture. This doesn’t make any sense to me, how does an ovarian cyst cause bad breath. Does this happen to anyone else?
I floss and go to a dentist regularly and they always tell me that I have good dental hygiene.

not possible. you might have something going on it your mouth that’s making you have bad breath but the cyst isn’t doing it

I”ve had one or 2 before and haven’t gotten bad breath from it that I noticed. Could just be something in your body chemistry to react that way or an infection or such that is mouth related? If it’s short lived and doesn’t seem to happen otherwise I’d mention this to your ob/gyn and ask them if there is a connection and if so why. But may be more so for a dentist to know why you notice halitosis. I don’t know what causes that.

I don’t think the cyst is causing the bad breath. If it is a large cyst it could be pushing against your large intestine and slowing down your digestive system (causing constipation). If this is happening then the bad bread could be explained by the decaying fecal material in your intestine that is not being excreted soon enough.
